Is this considered essential?

Earlier this week, a colleague told me that Amazon was stopping shipments. Holy hell, I thought...where will I get my mayonnaise and mustard? Sure, I buy a ton of stuff on Amazon but my most important purchases are what I consider pantry staples.

Yes, mayonnaise. I use Duke's, I love Duke's. It's the reason my pimento cheese is so yummy. And it's great for deviled eggs. And yes, even a sandwich. Why not Best Foods, which I used to love? That was before I met Duke's from Richmond, Virginia. Thankfully, my supply just arrived, thanks to Amazon.

Mustard. We have a lot of choices for mustard and my fridge is filled with grainy and smooth, German and good ol' French's. But for my salad dressing, I must have Amora. It's simple French table mustard that doesn't have the hard bite of Grey Poupon or Maille. It is just the most delicious mustard and essential for my always ready shallot/apple cider vinegar vinaigrette. I'm ordering more now....

I love your blog already, Lisa!

Maybe, if willing, you could share your favorite salad dressing recipe with those of us who have only one jar of mustard in our fridges?

Amora Mustard is very creamy and it's a great emulsifier! My favorite.
